Oberek
Fast-paced folk dance with a lively melody. It has been very popular in the countryside across Poland, especially in Mazovia and Radom region. It is easily recognisable by the very fast spinning of the dancing couples. Usually danced during weddings or feasts.
Kujawiak
Polish national dance that comes form wedding folk dances in Kuyavia region. Kujawiak is a calm-paced dance, which is all about rhythmic gait on slightly bent legs, and soft rotations. Romantic, lyrical melody creates a flirtatious ambience.
Krakowiak
A fast-paced dance that comes from Krakow region. Initially, krakowiak was danced only by common people. However, over time it became so popular, that it has been danced not only in wealthy middle-class houses but also in nobleman's mansions.
Mazur
Polish national dance in a lively pace. This dance combines similarity with mazurka and oberek (at a faster pace) and kujawiak (slow). It is a cheerful, dynamic dance, which was often danced at noble mansions. It was known and danced all over Europe.
